French Bulldogs Overtake Chihuahuas as Arizona's Favorite Dog Breed
🔥 Trending

Chihuahuas long reigned as Arizona’s favorite dog breed, but the state’s preferences are shifting.

Fresh findings from MetLife Pet Insurance reveal that French Bulldogs have overtaken Chihuahuas as Arizona’s most popular insured breed.

This trend aligns with the Phoenix metropolitan area, where French Bulldogs now top the charts, reflecting a rising affection for this adaptable, sociable breed.

Neighboring states differ: in California, French Bulldogs also lead, while German Shepherds dominate in Nevada, and Golden Retrievers are Utah’s favorite.

Experts urge owners to remember French Bulldogs’ unique needs, especially their brachycephalic features that make them prone to heat stress.

With Arizona’s soaring temperatures, it’s important to protect these dogs with cool spaces and limited sun exposure.

This changing canine landscape underscores Arizona’s evolving pet culture—and its enduring love for loyal companions.
