Four-Year-Old Husky Mix Seeks Forever Home After Overcoming Medical Challenges |
Clyde, a resilient four-year-old Husky mix, is eagerly seeking a loving forever home in Scottsdale.
Initially placed on the euthanasia list at Maricopa County Animal Care and Control due to his medical needs, Clyde's journey has been one of remarkable recovery and unwavering spirit.
Upon rescue, Clyde was diagnosed with carpal hyperextension and hip dysplasia.
Thanks to the dedication of a medically experienced foster, he received custom-made braces for his front legs, significantly improving his mobility during walks.
While surgery isn't currently necessary for his hip dysplasia, Clyde benefits from joint supplements and fish oil to maintain his health.
Despite his initial discomfort, Clyde's affectionate nature shines through.
He enjoys holding paws and cuddling when comfortable, though he prefers to avoid belly or back scratches.
True to his Husky heritage, Clyde is vocal, often expressing himself with endearing grumbles and howls.
In his foster home, Clyde has demonstrated adaptability and sociability.
He interacts well with both small and large dogs and has even formed a playful bond with the resident cat.
Given his occasional soreness, a household with older children would be ideal.
Clyde thrives in a calm and relaxed environment, making him a perfect companion for those seeking a gentle and loving pet.
Currently, Clyde is listed as available and in need of a foster home through AZ Husky Rescue.
Prospective adopters can meet him at upcoming events, such as the adoption event at Beer Barn AZ in Gilbert on January 24, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
For more information or to fill out an adoption application, visit AZ Husky Rescue's website.
By opening your heart and home to Clyde, you're not only gaining a loyal friend but also giving a deserving dog a second chance at life. |
