Meet Coraline, a gentle 3-year-old husky mix eagerly awaiting her forever home in Scottsdale.

Rescued from a dire situation due to increased pressure in one eye, Coraline's sweet nature shone through from the start.

She remains calm around children, enjoys being petted, and is generous with affectionate kisses.

Thanks to a dedicated foster family, she received the necessary medical care and a loving environment to thrive.

In her foster home, Coraline has adapted well with thoughtful introductions to other dogs.

Initially, she exhibited herding behavior during intense play, occasionally nipping at legs or feet.

However, this behavior has significantly improved and now only occurs if play becomes overly rough.

She is playful and social with both small and large dogs, though she does like to be in charge.

Coraline is a medium-energy girl who enjoys walks, meals, treats, belly rubs, cuddles, and affection.

She does well in a crate when left alone but spends time freely with the other dogs when her foster family is home.

Like many dogs adjusting to home life, she’s still working on some manners, such as counter surfing, chewing on non-dog items, jumping up, and some resource guarding around other dogs, but she responds very well to correction and continues to make progress.

Coraline would do best in an active home, though she could thrive in a variety of family types and would enjoy having another dog in the home.

Due to her vision challenges, she tends to stay close to her people and may occasionally get underfoot, so a home with kids aged 7+ is recommended, especially for the safety of younger children or anyone who may easily lose their balance.

She doesn’t currently (or previously) live with any cats, so we are unsure how she would do in a home with them.

Coraline is a loving girl who is ready to shine in a forever home that will cherish her gentle heart.
